Auckland Half Marathon 2026
I did the Auckland half marathon again today. (I missed last year because I was away on a Google trip. I did it in 1:56, a few minutes faster than my time in 2024. I’m pretty pleased with the result — I ran a consistent pace, I felt good the whole way, and I had not trained very hard in the lead-up. Lots of people commented positively on me running barefoot, which was nice. The weather was absolutely perfect, it’s just a fantastic day in Auckland — sunny, very light breeze, cool.
I’m getting older and I don’t know how much longer I can keep cranking out these sub-2-hour halfs, but I want to keep doing it as long as I can!
